MTV and Aureole-Inspecs launch a brand new Range of MTV and Roadies Eye-wear

MTV, the leading multimedia youth brand today announced its licensing deal with Aureole-Inspecs to enter the ‘Eye-wear’ category. As part of the long-term deal, Aureole Inspecs, one of India’s leading eye-wear companies, will launch ‘MTV’ and ‘Roadies’ range of eyewear, comprising both,  sunglasses as well as spectacles.

‘Framed by MTV’, the MTV range of eye-wear comprising designs and models that are not only chic and cool but are also uniquely MTV. For all roadie buffs there is more awaiting! A separate range of ‘Roadies’ eye wear will be launched, that are based around the ‘Roadies’ attributes – edgy, spunky and loaded with attitude.

The range is priced from Rs. 1200 to Rs. 3000 and will be available at all leading eyewear stores as well as modern trade outlets, across India. The first collection features 30 styles - from romantic & retro for women to face hugging for men, in bright-colored materials like acetate plastic, monel, metal & titanium in an array of colors from deep red to steely blue.

Un Hazaron Ke Naam, TV Film on Star Plus

In commemoration of the 1st anniversary of November 26 attack the leading production house Sphere origins Multivision Pvt Ltd has produced a  telly film which is based on the difficult topic i.e. Terrorism . 26th November 2008 has left everyone in the state of shock and horror. This day has made history of terrorist attacks in India. The film is written by Anahita Menon and directed by a very talented director Sidarth Sengupta.

Terrorism has majorly become an important issue for an onscreen presence. One such example is of an upcoming telefilm “Un Hazaron ke naam”, produced by Mr. Sunjoy Waddhwa,CMD ,SphereOrigins Multivision Pvt Ltd.  Titled ‘Un Hazaroon Ke Naam’ starrer Vinod Khanna and Sima Biswas portrays the pain and the tragedy of the terrorist stricken families. It also highlights the sentiments of people who watched the tragedy unfold from their homes.

The film starts with a child asking his grandfather (played by Vinod Khanna) why his parents were killed at Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST). The grandfather looking out at the ocean, tears in his eyes, hurting from the collective pain, torment and tears of a damaged and wounded city - still living in his memory…in the silence within narrates the incident to him. The movie highlights emotions through the extraordinary struggles, fears, courage and sadness of the many ordinary people of the city during this traumatic event.

The film is shot in Mumbai and Goa also stars Jyoti Dogra, Sadiya Siddique, Vikrant and Bobby Parvez. It will be aired on November 26, 2009 on Star Plus.

Association of Radio Operators of India hosting Vision - 2010

Association of Radio Operators in India (AROI), country’s only industry body of FM Radio operators today announced ‘Vision 2010’ – its first-ever large-scale conference. Commemorating Broadcaster’s Day in memory of Mahatma Gandhi’s first address to the nation, ‘Vision – 2010’ will be a common platform for the Ministry, players and other related authorities to discuss the issues of the Indian Radio Industry and the way forward. The day-long conference being organized at Maurya Sheraton, New Delhi on Thursday, 12th Nov’09 will be attended by the Hon. Minister of Information & Broadcasting Smt. Ambika Soni, industry players, policymakers, media owners and advertisers.

Commenting on the upcoming conference Vision – 2010, Ms. Apurva Purohit, President, AROI said, “The fledgling and nascent private FM radio industry owes its existence to the initiative of the Information and Broadcasting Ministry. The private FM Radio industry has worked closely with the Government of India to build this medium and create a massive infrastructure which today reaches out to 150 Mn. people across 91 locations; contributing close to Rs. 100 crores per annum to the Government through the license fee payments / rentals alone. Vision – 2010 is a National platform for all of us concerned to understand the issues facing the industry and take corrective actions. Our vision has been acknowledged by our Hon. Minister and all members through their consent to conduct such sessions regularly and lead the industry to the next level.”

Year 2010 will be a progressive year for the Indian FM Radio industry and is expected to lead to a sea-change. The much awaited Phase III of the Radio Licensing Policy has been in debate for sometime since it is expected to open doors in many ways; whether it is additional investments or new content options on radio; currently very limited to Music only. Vision 2010 will deliberate on various policy issues concerning the Radio industry, in a bid to outline the future course of action. The event will also showcase cost effective and new equipment or technical services to radio players.
