Amitabh Bachchan aka Big B leaves all stylized for World Tour

Celeb stylist Aalim is no amateur when it comes to styling Bollywood Stars as Salman Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Saif Ali Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, etc have been his loyal clients since years…but our source recently spotted the stylist stepping out of Pratiksha, Big B’s bungalow the other morning!!

Has Aalim been prepping Amitabh Bachchan before he left for his world tour? When we approached Aalim outside the bungalow, he reluctantly confirmed, “Yes Amitabh sir called me in the morning for styling before he left for his World Tour….it was a great experience as always having worked for him in few of his previous films as well before…Amitji was very close to my father as well”….

What’s more, we hear Aalim’s late father Hakim was a regular stylist for Big B during his heydays…Amitabh Bachchan just could not trust anyone but Hakim Kairanvi and the late stylist had styled him right from Resham Aur Shera till his old age, and used to take him overseas as well!! Well from father to son, this must definitely be a most proud moment!

Sarkar Raj Movie Review

Ram Gopal Varma has come up with a stunner of a sequel with Sarkar Raj, especially after being written off by many as a spent force has proved his mettle once again. RGV has aptly woven the film right from the word go and more so in the last 20 minutes which really is gripping.

Sarkar Raj opens with Shankar Nagre (Abhishek Bachchan) at the helm of the affairs and the father Subhash Nagre (Amitabh Bachchan) still the Sarkar, has left the son with decision making powers. Anita Rajan (Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan) the CEO of Shepperd Power Plant MNC wants to set up a power plant in rural Maharashtra brings up the proposal to the Nagres at the behest of middleman Hassan Kazi (Govind Namdeo). Sarkar declines the proposal, but Shankar realizes the potential of the project and the associated benefits that the power plant could bring to the people of Maharashtra, ending the power woes in the state. Shankar along with Anita visits the rural countryside to garner the support of the villagers, only to be opposed by Somji (Rajesh Shingarpure) a social activist and the grandson of Rao Saheb (Dilip Prabhavalkar) who has given a go ahead nod for the project. Sarkar has been mentored in his early days by Rao Saheb. The Deputy CM (Sayaji Shinde) and a Businessman Kantilal Vora (Upendra Limaye) alongwith Kazi want to bump off Shankar and wish to see a diminishing political clout of Sarkar. What happens to the Nagres? What happens to the project? Or is it the most intrigued politics with the series of happenings just being a deceptive maneuver?

Abhishek Bachchan and Amitabh Bachchan have worked out terrific father-son chemistry with a superlative performance complimenting each other, whilst retaining prominence of their individual efforts. Aishwarya Rai as a businesswoman is quite okay. Sayaji Shinde and Upendra Limaye are at their best. Govind Namdeo has done well. Ravi Kale has done a great job akin previous film. Not to be missing out Dilip Prabhavalkar, he has been awesome. Supriya Pathak and Rajesh Shingarpure have been good.

Worth a mention is the cinematography (Amit Roy) and the background ‘Govinda’ score (Amar Mohile) which creates an compelling effect for the scenes. The action (Allan Amin) does not go overboard. Dialogues (Prashant Pandey) have been crafted to a crisp perfection. Definitely Sarkar Raj is more effective and exceptional than Sarkar, unveiling myriad of deceptive goodness in a quest to gain POWER…………

Review of Movie Bhoothnath

Debut direction for Vivek Sharma, making a movie based on exceptional story of bonding between a child and a Ghost and supported by a starCast -Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan and Juhi Chawla, the established icons of Indian Cinema.

Overall the movie is very good, a mixture of drama, comedy and emotions; the performance of the star cast is outstanding, the music by Vishal –Shekar is okay but not up to the expectations of the audience, dialogues, cinematography and art direction has been extremely good .

The movie basically rotates around two characters, Aman Siddique – (Banku) and Amitabh Bachchan-(Kailash Nath), the story is about Banku with his family (Juhi Chawla and Shahrukh Khan) shift to Goa and move to stay at Nath-Villa which is haunted by Kailash Nath after his death. The first half of movie is just fun, targeted mainly on kids, the second half has more of emotions and message for everyone, parents too will like the movie. In the movie the bhoot is named as Bhoothnath by Banku, the bhooth tries all his tricks to scare Banku but he fails to do so and gradually there build up an attachment between the two. The later part of the movie there is a twist when Kailash Nath’s son returns from US with an intension to sell his mansion. I would not reveal it, recommend a watch this weekend at your nearest cinema.

Amitabh Bachchan’s performance in the movie is really brilliant; the second half of the movie is more dragging, the climax of the movie is shot extremely well. Aman Siddque child artist has given equally commendable performance and surely deserves a nomination for an award under the child artist category.

Though the movie is basically targeted for kids (summer holidays), has lots for everyone and is a family entertainer, as far as direction is concerned Vivek Sharma has handled the film very well and has done justice to his debut movie.

Amitabh Bachchan – A journey of the legend

Published by Kavita under Amitabh Bachchan, Celebrity

The icon and living legend of Indian cinema, Amitabh Bachchan was born to Shri Harivanshrai Bachchan & Smt. Teji Bachchan in a small city of Allahabad in Uttar Pradesh on the 11th of October 1942. No one ever felt that this lanky young man would be making a significant mark in Bollywood and attain the superstar status which not many have achieved. Big B as he is called, started his career with

Saath Hindustani in 1969 directed by K.A. Abbas which was not a great success. Signed by Prakash Mehra for movie Zanjeer, which eventually went on to be a super hit, after which there was no looking back for Big B.

Amitabh had established himself as a angry young man only to be tamed by Guddi i.e. Jaya Badhuri. In 70’s they both performed together in as many as 7 movies, in 71 both actors were associated with superhits the same year that was Anand for Amit & Guddi for Jaya. They realized they were in love on the sets of Ek Nazar in 1972. They were courting each other for quite sometime now, but it was just around the time of signing in lead roles for Abhimaan (1973) that they decided to tie the knot and enter into marital bliss on 3rd June 1973. The marriage took place with Bengali rituals with less of fan-fare and away from media glare, which is evident from the fact that the ceremony did not take place at Jaya’s flat in Beach House but at Skylark Building which happened to be a family friends place. Jaya went into a retirement from movies after her marriage.

Amitabh Bachchan, Papa Bachchan at his best!

Amitabh Bachchans on screen chemistry with his co-stars especially Parveen Babi , Rekha & Rakhee was really its moneys worth. The movies with Parveen as co-star which I would mention are Majboor, Deewaar, Amar Akbar Anthony, Namak Halal, Shaan, Kaalia, Mahaan, Do Aur Do Paanch, Desh Premee,. Ganga Ki Saugandh ,Khoon Pasina, Suhaag, Muqaddar Ka Sikandar, Mr. Natwarlal and Ram Balram were noteworthy hits with co-star Rekha. Kabhi Kabhi, Kasme Vaade, Trishul, Kala Patthar, Adaalat, Barsaat Ki Ek Raat, Lawaaris, Bemisaal with Rakhee.

Success has its own cup of woes and Big B was not spared too with gossips and rumours of his affairs with his co-stars and more especially with Parveen Babi and Rekha. The movie tabloids and magazines were loaded with the masala talks and making quick bucks at the expense of the superstar. But it was eventually a fact that Amitabh Bachchan was lured into the charms of Rekha during their second movie together which was Do Anjaane. After which the hits in the movies they paired spells it all out, even to an extent of their contemplating of marriage. But the sheer pressure from the fans and well wishers, the strong will power of Jaya and the public image he had, forced him to buckle, back track and the couple split. In 81, the movie Silsila directed by Yash Chopra which encapsulated the saga of his affair with Rekha.

But what emerged out of it was a strong family man, a devoted husband and a caring father. Amitabh & Jaya paired together in 2001 in Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham directed by Karan Johar. This living legend has been an integral part of the Indian cinema for four decades and seems to be only going stronger.
