AXN ties up with Paramount Pictures India for all its Blockbuster Hits
India’s leading English entertainment channel, AXN and Paramount Pictures India have signed a strategic marketing and promotion alliance. Under this association, forthcoming releases of Paramount Pictures India, will be promoted exclusively on the channel. This association kick starts with the blockbuster theatrical release of the most anticipated sequel, “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen”.
Announcing the association, Mr. Rohit Bhandari, senior vice president, AXN India said, “We have always shared a very fruitful working association with Paramount Pictures India and are very delighted to partner with them on the release of ‘Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen’. Theatrical releases from the stable of Paramount Pictures have always been quality blockbusters of their time and it will be a privilege for the channel to continue this strategic marketing and promotional alliance.”
The highly-anticipated “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen”, will be released in India on July 10, 2009 by Paramount Films of India. The sci –fi action sequel to “Transformers” which has already raked in a whopping $ 387 million at the International Box Office will be released in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu across all major and mini metros with 260 plus prints. Currently, AXN India is running a contest for “Transformers”. This tie-up also includes promotions through mailers, on-air promotions, merchandising and special integrations on eBUZZ, an AXN property which gives viewers a weekly dose of all the entertainment news.
