After all the praise she got for her stupendous performance in ‘Delhi 6’ the vivacious actress is back in action and is all set to rock the silver screen with her bold performance this year.
Well yes, quite literally! Divya Dutta just graduated from being bold to bolder. With all the abuses she had to mouth in ‘Delhi 6’ as an untouchable, Divya goes a step further and gets her face blackened in a NFDC film called ‘Haat’. In this movie Divya is playing a role of a married village girl who is looking for true love in her life and falls in love with another man without realizing that everything comes with a price tag and for this bold step taken by her, she bears a punishment of getting her face blackened and hair cut by the village panchayat. The movie has been getting rave reviews from film festivals all over the world and Divya’s performance has been highly acclaimed and appreciated. Bollywood news is Divya will also be performing a raunchy item number in this movie.
Today when all other actresses insist on looking prim and proper and are reluctant to essay bold characters, seems like Divya has no inhibitions performing diverse roles with ease and authenticity.
Well, essaying challenging roles has become her forte!
